We address societal needs by helping ex-prisoners and the homeless make meaning out of their lives, to become more responsible members of the society through supported re-integration. With 40 multicultural/racial/religious residents currently living in Nissi Homes across the West Midlands, our organisation makes a significant difference in the life of ex-prisoners by helping them to build a new sense of fulfilment, given the sort of social isolation they often experience.

About Nissi Homes
Nissi Homes is a community-based, not-for-profit, registered charity organisation helping vulnerable and homeless adults through the provision of supported housing, health and social care services to young adults, older people, ex-offenders, people with drug and/or alcohol concerns, and people with mental health issues.
Our Impactful Initiatives
Our varied support includes, emotional support, shopping support, mentorship, budgeting, financial assessment, debt analysis and management, interest-free loans, finance management, assistance for jobs, receipt of DWP benefits for service users with no bank account, computer training, introduction to NVQ trainings, offer of paid volunteer jobs, help with food packs from partner food banks, clothing, gas, electricity, mobile phones, bus passes, hospital/GP appointment support, registration with GP/Dental surgery, signposting to rehab centres, help with daily living skills – cooking, nutritional classes, feeding on a budget, gym enrolment, tenancy maintenance, and advice on benefits.
